Best of 2016
I thought it would be cool to compile a bunch of my favorite blog posts and messages from this past year. It’s always a good thing to go back and remember the awesome things that God has done and shown you. Hopefully some of these links bring back good memories for you.

Here are some of my favorite blog posts from this year:
The Ultimate Buzz – Y’all were sleeping on this one. It’s about relationship restoration, effortless forgiveness, the real command Jesus gave us and more. Check it out if you missed it.
Walking in the Cool of the Day – This one was about abiding in the vine and effortless fruit bearing. I love seeing people set free and this message has the power to do that.
Something That Really Satisfies – A message helping you understand what God thinks about you and His ability to provide which puts you at rest concerning your life.
Hunger Game Series Intro – All about contentment. What it is, how to get it, why it matters, etc. This will bless you if you find yourself always striving and never able to enjoy your relationship with God right where you are at.
Why Did Jesus Have To Die? – This is more of a technical message, but it’s so important to understand this. The traditional way the Gospel is preached has several detrimental effects on our relationship with God. If you don’t understand why God loves you and why He has done what He has done, you will struggle to experience God’s love and remain in a state of spiritual immaturity.
Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People? – If you are confused about why certain things happen and find yourself asking God why, this post will help set you at ease and establish you in the goodness of God.
Someone You Can Trust – In the midst of the Presidential election this year, I thought it would be a good to remind people that no matter who wins the election, God is the only one we should be putting our trust in and why we can trust Him.
Recovering Your Sight – A message about identity to help you get your eyes back on Jesus, who He is, what He says about you and who you are in Him.
Freed From Greed – Many times we are tempted to let money be our God. Greed to easily creep in and affect the way we see others, the decisions we make, etc. This post reminds us of God our provider.
God’s Body Language – a message elaborating on a term coined by Bertie Brits in his trip to Chicago in 2016. This stresses the importance of not letting anything into your heart until it passes by what God has said and done in Jesus.
The Real Thing. What The World Wants Today. – A post about what separates Christianity from the rest of the religions in the world and how many write off others as “unbelievers” when they have never even been presented with the real thing concerning God and His Gospel.
Is God Out of Touch with Today’s Society? – Many people think God and the Bible are outdated ways of dealing with today’s society. This blog includes a few of my thoughts concerning this topic.
I can’t pick between the best guest blogs this year, so here is a list of all of them in order they appeared on the blog. They were all really good. Thanks again to all you guest bloggers who took the time to share your hearts with us.
Rick Malone “Fellowship With God” May 2016
Cindy Quarles “Punishment or Rescue “ June 2016
Bob Woods “The Greatest Gift” July 2016
Jermeine Eccles-James “Jesus Took Away The Sin of the World “ August 2016
Caroline Courtney “Ministers of Reconciliation” September 2016
Jen Banter “Free From the Effects of Sin” November 2016
Best of Greg
I’ll also include a few of my favorite messages from Bertie Brits and Greg Henry in the post.
– The End Goal of the Gospel
Greg explains why God provided the Gospel for us beautifully in this message. It helps me remember what it’s all about.
– The Blessing of God
Greg redefines what the blessing of God is in the message.
– Justified in the Spirit
This message will save you from the fruit gather expedition we tend to go on as Christians and help you realize that you are as you ought to be.
Best of Bertie
Here are my favorite messages from Bertie this year:
– Is Your Gospel Believable?
I witnessed this message live and have since listened to it several times again. The way Bertie explains the Gospel and analogies he gives are just awesome.
– You Are God’s Closest Family
This message blew me away as well. Bertie takes an Old Testament principle and applies it to the Gospel in a way I have never heard before. It really blessed me.
– The Difference Between Works & Fruit
In this short message Bertie shares the difference between your works and the fruit of the Spirit, and how you can never obtain the Life of God in your own strength.
– Understanding Why Christians Always Want “More”
I’m still digesting this message as it is Bertie’s latest one at the time I’m writing this. It will really help you understand why you have this feeling for “more” and what it really means.
I hope you guys enjoy going back to listen and read some of these messages. As a reminder, I will not be posting every week in 2017 like I did this year, but will still post occasionally as I feel led. I will most likely post some sort of “grace roundup” weekly but it will not be a blog post of mine.
Hope you guys have a happy and safe time bringing in the New Year. I’m looking forward to what 2017 has in store and continuing in this grace fellowship with you all. As always, feel free to hit me up anytime with any questions, concerns, and prayer requests you may have. Thanks for stopping by.
